The term “glazing” refers to the glass in your windows. Some glazings have high-tech coatings or films that are designed to improve energy efficiency. They may capture the sun’s heat, or reflect it. Others block the sun’s damaging rays, or reduce outside noise, or even resist the wrath of a hurricane. While they’re usually invisible, they can make your home noticeably more comfortable.
Your window glazing can also be purely decorative…such as stained glass or leaded glass.
Your architect or builder can help you choose the best glazings for your location and your weather conditions.
