Named ‘Exporter of the Year’ by ThinkGlobal, Inc.
Wisconsin company recognized for marketing its Made in America windows and doors in 20 countries worldwide.
Medford, WI – March 28, 2012 – Hurd Windows and Doors has been named a 2012 Exporter of the Year award winner for marketing its Made in America products in 20 countries worldwide. The award was presented by ThinkGlobal Inc., publisher of the U.S. Department of Commerce’s Commercial News USA.
The Exporter of the Year award in the Building/Construction/Hardware category was presented to Hurd’s President and CEO Dominic Truniger and Director of International Sales Scott Klieforth on March 27 during the Asia/Pacific Business Outlook conference in Los Angeles.
Medford, Wisconsin-based Hurd has a 90-year tradition of Made in America custom wood windows and doors that are built to the highest standards of excellence and quality. Hurd products, which are sold exclusively through more than 400 distributors in the United States and Canada, and in 20 countries worldwide, are manufactured by approximately 400 craftsmen.

Criteria on which Hurd was selected include the total number of documented export transactions, the total percentage increase in sales, exports as a percentage of total sales, the company’s commitment to exporting, the company’s commitment to customer service, and the company’s innovation and originality in marketing products or services. To be eligible for the award, a company must currently be exporting from the United States.
