Hurd's new hardware system features sleek folding handle

MEDFORD, WI (10 October 2005) - When the devil's in the details, most builders and homeowners search for non-invasive mechanisms. That's why Hurd Windows & Doors switched to a new standard in casement and awning hardware for their entire aluminum clad and wood window lines. Called Encore(r), the stylish hardware for windows tucks neatly away, becoming virtually unnoticeable.

The aesthetics continue when the window is open. Encore's operator arm is painted a light beige color, naturally blending in better with the window frame.

"People are picky. Encore is available now in eleven finish options including designer colors such as brushed chrome, oil rubbed, champagne, coppertone and brushed nickel.
